AION Classic EU has a new roadmap covering the second half of 2024. Featuring updates 2.8 and 3.0, we get a peek at what’s on the way.
Beginning on July 17th with update 2.8, “Conquest”, Gameforge will raise the level cap to 58 and add new content. Phaestos’ Disc is on the way as a new dungeon instance, with puzzles and a number of challenges to take on with a team, or perhaps solo if you are prepared to do so. The update will also add a dark new battlefield, Apheta Belusan. This addition lets you take the fight to Tiamat’s Legion itself as you press on in strategically capturing and occupying bases in the dark new battlefield. Along the way, there are some secrets to uncover too.
In addition to raising the level cap, the update will also add two new skills per class, adding some new options to learn and use in the new content and beyond. To join the level increase and new skills, there is also a slate of new quests on the way, and crafting updates.
September brings 2.85, Dominance, which adds the Wall of Lament instance. The update also adds another instance, Tartarus, and a new fortress battle, Apheta Beluslan. This will continue and deepen the strategic battles begun in Conquest with the new battlefield. Later, we can expect the Halloween celebration, along with end of year holiday events for Christmas and New Year’s.
We also get a brief tease of 3.0 in the new video, and that is coming sometime in Q4. The darkness is growing, and there will be more to come. AION Classic’s next phases will get more details as these updates get closer.
