The Diablo 4 team held a campfire chat on the forthcoming Season 4: Loot Reborn update earlier this week and today we’ll be breaking down some of the highlights.
We’re not going to go into details on the major features of the update, you can read more about those here. Instead, we’re going to highlight some of the major takeaways from the livestream.
Probably the most significant development from the livestream are a number of changes made to the new Tempering and Masterworking crafting systems since their time on the Public Test Realm. Now, players will be able to skip or avoid repetitive animations when tempering or masterworking their items, reducing some of the tedium involved with crafting. Additionally, Blizzard has decided to remove the chance to fail when Masterworking, which should be a godsend for most of the community.
A number of wide-sweeping changes are being made to Diablo 4 that will result in making the game more accessible and far easier to level and progress through. One way Blizzard will be supporting this goal each season is by curating a single build for each class to provide players gear for throughout their Season Journey progression. For example, Barbarian’s will receive gear that supports a Dust Devils build in Season 4 while Rogues will receive gear supporting their Barrage build.
