Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will reportedly also release on the last-gen consoles, including the PS4 and Xbox One.
Some days ago, following plenty of rumors, Activision officially announced a new entry in the Black Ops series - no subtitle, just Black Ops 6. Aside from releasing later this year on the current-gen consoles and PC, Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming now also reports that the shooter will be released on last-gen consoles, in a similar fashion as last year's Modern Warfare 3.

"Insider Gaming has been able to verify with multiple sources that the image is legitimate and that Black Ops 6 will be coming to past-generation consoles", Henderson writes in his article.
As for when Black Ops 6 will launch, outlet The Verge reports that the title is slated for a late October 2024 release. As mentioned by Insider Gaming, this likely means that the shooter is dropping on October 25 since the 18th of October would be considered mid-October.

"Like our double-feature last year with Starfield Direct, immediately following the Showcase we’ll be airing a special deep-dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise", Microsoft wrote last month. "We can’t say much, so for now we’ll call it the Xbox Games Showcase followed by [REDACTED] Direct.
