Zenimax, Bethesda's parent company, has seemingly filed a new trademark application for a new Id-tech powered IP "Motor".
Spotted by @Bogorad222 on X, the new trademark application was filed some days ago on June 18. As most of you will know, id-Tech is id Software's proprietary game engine with the studio reportedly recently having shifted to id-Tech 8. 2020's amazing Doom Eternal runs on id Sofware's Id-tech 7. No further details about the new "Motor" trademark have been shared just yet, but fans have already been speculating that the trademark might very well be related to a new Rage entry. Of course, it could also be related to a new id-Tech spin-off engine. We've included a screenshot of the trademark application below:
Earlier this month, Microsoft and Bethesda officially announced Doom: The Dark Ages, and it will be interesting to learn which version of id Software's engine this new Doom will use.
