Tomorrow's Xbox Showcase is said to feature 8 world premieres, including the rumored new Gears 6 and DOOM.
At least, that's what Spanish leaker 'eXtas1s' (who often writes for outlet Exputer) said on X some hours ago. Although the event will feature more than eight games coming to Xbox (and possibly other platforms as well), the leaker writes to have heard about 8 titles that haven't been officially announced just yet. As mentioned by ''eXtas1s' on X, these titles include both first- and third-party games, and among them are the new Gears from The Coalition and Bethesda's rumored DOOM: The Dark Ages.
"According to our sources, we can confirm that the Xbox Showcase will have a total of 8 WORLD PREMIERES, that is, games for which there is not even an official announcement, until the event", the leaker wrote on X. He added, "This includes 1st and 3rd party games. We already know 2 of them, Gears 6 and Doom The Dark Ages."
Although this isn't a confirmation in any way, The Verge's Tom Warren also mentioned the announcement of the new Gears from The Coalition and the new DOOM from id Software some days ago. Interestingly enough, while DOOM: The Dark Ages is said to be a multi-platform title, Gears 6 will allegedly be Xbox exclusive.
Back in April of this year, several insiders and leakers suggested that Gears 6 might very well appear at Microsoft's Xbox showcase. Known insider Nate "shinobi602" Najda said that aside from the game looking very good, it's unlikely that it would run at only cinematic 30FPS on Xbox Series X|S.
Meanwhile, as reported last month, the new multi-platform DOOM is said to be called DOOM: The Dark Ages, and will feature a medieval setting.
