The official launch of vampire survival game V Rising is only days away, and with it comes a slew of anticipated changes. Meanwhile, some of the more nitty-gritty details of the saves and servers have been released ahead of the pre-launch maintenance.
According to Stunlock Studios’s Steam announcement, maintenance for the servers will take place on May 6, 5:30 a.m. PDT, shutting down the game until the official launch on May 8 (time TBD). Upon V Rising’s official launch, all saves will be wiped, so players will have to start from scratch for the official launch.
The official launch brings plenty of new features, such as timed official servers that let players dig in against others with a variety of styles, permitting 60 players each to take on the vampiric world (and/or each other). While the official ones will reset based on their listed time, the devs intend to create new servers about halfway through each’s allotted reset timer.

Those looking to take V Rising at their own pace will be glad to find new difficulties to choose from: Relaxed, Normal, and Brutal Modes; Relaxed Mode eases up on the damage and damage taken, while in Brutal Mode, there are new boss behaviors, more damage, and more loot (plus increased item durability, just to help). On launch, these can be selected before creating a new server/game.
Those who opt to play with friends on private servers will be able to customize their game with a bit more ease, as there’ll be the option
