Alongside the Into The Light experience, Bungie released Update 7.3.6 for Destiny 2, a substantial patch that not only makes adjustments and fixes across the game, but adds in a number of highly requested features as well. So far, April 9 has proven to be a big day for Destiny 2 fans as the studio finally pulled the curtain back on The Final Shape. Bungie revealed a ton of new details for the expansion, as well as showcasing the new Prismatic subclass for Destiny 2, one that essentially lets players customize their class by mixing both Darkness and Light abilities.
Today's Destiny 2 reset also launched the highly anticipated Into the Light, a major experience that adds tons of new content for players to chase. In addition to the return of exotic missions The Whisper and Zero Hour, also making Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected craftable, Into The Light adds the Hall of Champions social space for gathering, collecting bounties, and unlocking pieces of the Brave Arsenal while tackling the new Horde mode called Onslaught. Players may also notice that some parts of the game may look or feel a little different, which is due to Update 7.3.6 launching as well.
In advance of the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset, Bungie posted the complete patch notes for Update 7.3.6. The update itself is fairly large, making plenty of changes and tweaks to activities like the Crucible. While fixing a variety of bugs, the Competitive Playlist saw a number of tweaks, including a unified ruleset for both Collision and Clash, where games span 10 minutes in total, respawn timers are set to 7 seconds with revives enabled, and both Special and Heavy ammo crates on a set schedule. Trials of Osiris are now more rewarding, as post-game weapon drops will be the weekly weapon.
The Destiny 2 Fireteam Finder has also received substantial changes to improve the notifications for applications and join requests, specifically for players who may not own that particular piece of content. Listing settings and
