Bungie is warning Destiny 2 players about a glitch tied to the Defiant Battleground: EDZ mission which leads to a cinematic being skipped. New expansion launches like Lightfall's can be a very chaotic time for Destiny 2 players. There are new locations to visit, new game modes to play, new subclasses to unlock, and all of it is presented in a very haphazard way. In other words, it's easy to miss something, especially if Bungie's accidentally introduced a way to skip important cinematics to the game.
Destiny 2 Guardians have been playing the shooter for some time now and after several years of experience, some behaviors become muscle memory. For example, finishing certain Destiny 2 activities leads to a countdown before players are sent back into orbit. Rather than wait this full time, many Destiny 2 players will skip the countdown and manually send themselves into orbit. It's normal and encouraged behavior.

Those now playing Lightfall may be surprised to hear that if they have a tendency to skip the countdown after finishing an activity, they may have also missed a cinematic video. Bungie has posted a warning to Destiny 2 players on Twitter, saying that players may be unintentionally skipping a cinematic shown after completing Defiant Battleground: EDZ. If players are leaving before the mission end timer concludes, they won't see the video.
There is luckily a workaround for those who believe they may have missed the Defiant Battleground: EDZ cinematic. Destiny 2 players can simply revisit Defiant Battleground: EDZ either from the Director or from the H.E.L.M. Defiant Battleground playlist, play it to completion, and wait out the timer as if it were their first
