Official Fortnite social media accounts have been posting confusing messages, making it impossible to tell when the next season will start. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 will be coming to an end this week, so a brand-new season can start. This is always an extremely exciting time for fans of the battle royale since they're aware that soon enough they'll be able to play through an entirely new Battle Pass and explore an island with a completely different theme.
Some time ago, Epic Games explained that Chapter 4 Season 1 would be ending a couple of days before what was previously announced – March 8 rather than March 10. To make up for the time they wouldn't be able to play, gamers got the Super Charged XP boost to potentially gain a few extra levels before the end of the season. Unfortunately, experience points are the only thing that matters in Fortnite, and this meant that some players would actually have to grind more than expected if they wanted to complete all available Battle Pass quests, such as the Geralt of Rivia quests, before they became inaccessible with the end of the season.

The Fortnite twitter account made a post with the day «3.10.2023» on it. This made fans confused since they thought they'd be able to play the new season on March 9. To follow up on this, the official Fortnite Status account quote retweeted the Fortnite account to try and clarify. It said that downtime for Chapter 4 Season 2 would start at 2 AM ET on March 10, but the last full day of Season 1 across all timezones would be March 8.
