Resident Evil 4 players have discovered that the Chainsaw Demo features a hidden TMP machine gun that can be unlocked if the player throws away all of their items.
The Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo might have only just released a little over 24 hours ago, but players are already finding that it has a ton of secrets, including a difficulty mode that’s exclusive to the demo called “Mad Chainsaw Mode”. If that mode sounds a bit too challenging then worry not, as Capcom has hidden the TMP within the demo to give players a bit of an edge - providing you know how to find it, that is.

As detailed by YouTuber BladedAxe77 and originally discovered by Steam user Vizixi, the steps to unlock the TMP are a little strange. First of all, the player needs to get to the basement section where you run into the first Ganado. Once you’ve defeated them, you need to discard every item in your inventory and head towards the village, making sure not to pick up any items on your way.
Once you get to the village, you need to run to where the church is and go to the left. Here, you’ll see that the well that’s usually sealed off is now open and that Leon can climb down it. In this well you’ll find a treasure chest containing the TMP, which you can then use on subsequent playthroughs. The TMP isn’t the only thing down there either, as there’s also apparently a kitchen knife that Leon can equip and use like his combat knife.
Interestingly enough, it seems that there are a few more secrets hiding in the Chainsaw Demo. As noted by AestheticGamer on Twitter, there’s a second well in the village that’s sealed off, similar to how the well with the TMP is until you discard your weapons.
