Despite the Resident Evil remakes opting for an over-the-shoulder look, a Resident Evil 4 player wanted to see what the recently released demo would look like in first person, making it similar to RE7 and Village. While the series is known for being quite terrifying in general, it's the two new entries that have gone down as the scariest Resident Evil games around. Aside from the more realistic visuals, it was perhaps the switch to a more intimate view that upped the fear factor.
With the demo for the Resident Evil 4 remake dropping recently, fans have finally had the chance to dive into this slice of the upcoming horror game to see how Capcom is paying tribute to the original 2005 release. Of course, it's only a small sample of things to come, but it should give players an idea of what they can expect, which will hopefully marry nostalgia with video game modernity. However, the demo is more than just an opportunity to tease the full title, as modders have been busy tinkering with it as well.

As spotted by DSO Gaming, YouTube user praydog has managed to implement a first-person perspective into the Resident Evil 4 demo. A couple of videos from their channel show it in action, and it really does give off RE7 and RE8 vibes. It's by no means perfect, but it seems to be something the modder is actively working on. Whether it will become available for everybody's use once it's finished cannot be said at this stage, but there are undoubtedly many fans out there who would love to be able to play the upcoming remake from this perspective.
