Larian Studios has confirmed that Patch 6 for Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch this week, though an exact date and time is unknown. However, it did reveal that the patch is 21 GB on all platforms. Furthermore, PC and Steam Deck players will need “approximately” 150 GB of free space to install it.
It’s nothing new for patches that make fundamental changes throughout the game. It’s also a way to ensure the overall installation size remains in check. Those who don’t have enough space can also uninstall Baldur’s Gate 3 and download it again, Patch 6 included, when the latter goes live.
Full details on the patch are still due, but it is a “hefty” one that adds new Legendary Actions to Honour Mode, camp idle animations and improved kissing animations. It also allows for replacing a companion in your party with the one you’re currently speaking to and prioritize the player when dialogue is automatically triggered. Shield Bash and Rebuke of the Mighty are also fixed, and should trigger Saving Throws correctly
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out our review of the PC version here and the PS5 version here.
While a little exercise is good for the body, running back and forth between party members to dismiss them can be tiring – so you’ll now be able to dismiss a recruited companion from your party while speaking to the companion you want to replace them with! pic.twitter.com/8LByU18jbE
