One of the things we learned in the massive Insomniac leak in late 2023 was that the studio had been working on a multiplayer game set in the Spider-Man universe, Spider-Man: The Great Web. Amongst the chaotic discussion over ethical news coverage and the headline reveals of an upcoming Venom game and a major leak of Wolverine development footage, the multiplayer game didn't gain too much traction. Miles and Peter are joined by other Spideys, including Spider-Gwen, Silk, and Miguel O'Hara, but these might not come from the same timeline. We also see the characters jumping through portals reminiscent of Spider-Verse to get around, but it's unconfirmed if this is actually the case. Though Spider-Man 2 does have a Spider-Verse Easter Egg, it also uses the portals to leap around the planet in Black Cat's mission, using the same tech Insomniac
