Despite having been released on PC almost nine years ago, Grand Theft Auto V continues to be a great-looking open-world game, thanks to the tireless work of modders. Thanks to some of them, the game could easily pass for GTA 6.
A new 8K resolution video shared by Digital Dreams shows the game running with several mods, including a ray tracing mod and the Rewrite V mod, a visual overhaul mod that introduces many complex visual effects via ENV and in-game files. Needless to say, the game looks incredible with these mods, making it look like a current-generation game and not one that made its debut back in 2013.
After a very long wait, the Grand Theft Auto V successor was finally unveiled last year with a trailer that proved to be extremely popular. While GTA 6 has yet to receive a final release date, it seems like the game will indeed be released in the announced 2025 release window, as concerns regarding a potential delay are overblown, according to the ever-reliable Jason Schreier.
Grand Theft Auto V is now available worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
