Honkai: Star Rail has confirmed the arrival of a new character named Robin for update 2.2. Even though Version 2.1 has not even arrived yet, the official social media accounts have already given more information on which character will join the roster in the next update.
Honkai: Star Rail has previously confirmed the arrival of three characters for the upcoming update 2.1: Acheron, Aventurine, and Gallagher. HoYoverse will officially give more information about these playable units in their Special Program event which is scheduled for March 16.
Honkai: Star Rail's official social media accounts have posted the official splash art for a new character, the Physical user Robin. The official announcement has confirmed that Robin will have a five-star rarity and she will be featured on the update's limited banners. She follows the Path of Harmony, which is usually reserved for characters that can apply various buffs to her team. She has already made an appearance in Honkai: Star Rail's official storyline where she was introduced as a talented Halovian singer born in Penacony, also known as the Planet of Festivities. She is also said to be a student of Lady Cash, an NPC that can be found in the Golden Hour.
When it comes to her power on the battlefield, previous Honkai: Star Rail leaks have revealed portions of her kit. Her Skill provides a 36% ATK buff to all of her teammates. Its effect lasts for three rounds, and it does not exceed 24% of Robin's current ATK. Her unique Ultimate disables her actions and powers up her teammates, providing a Speed buff. The Ultimate's effect also lowers her aggro and grants additional buffs based on her Eidolon levels.
Overall, Robin could have one of the most specific kits in the game with a unique supportive playstyle that de-emphasizes her direct involvement.
