Ubisoft says that pre-orders for its upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows are «solid». While specifics weren't forthcoming, they are currently «in line with those of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the second most successful entry of the franchise». Players who do pre-order will gain the Claws of Awaji expansion in the future, and the 10+ hour offering sounds pretty enticing.
Speaking today (thanks, Eurogamer), Ubisoft daimyo Yves Guillemot sounded quite optimistic about the company's prospects: «I want to commend the incredible talent and dedication of the entire Assassin’s Creed team, who are working tirelessly to ensure that Shadows delivers on the promise of what is the franchise's most ambitious entry yet. In parallel, we are progressing well on our cost reduction program.»
As fans of great video games, we can't help but root for Ubisoft, although there is no getting around how make-or-break Shadows appears to be for the French firm. Still, there's every reason to be optimistic, as the more we see (and having gone hands-on), the more we're convinced the Assassin's Creed series isn't going out without a serious fight.

I will be pre-ordering here soon. The game looks really great! I'm definitely rooting for this game too. AC has given me many hours of entertainment over the years and I expect Shadows
