HBO has officially tapped Spanish pop singer Rosalia, Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms), Kadeem Hardison (K.C. Undercover), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Suicide Squad), Toby Wallace (Babyteeth), Priscilla Delgado (Julieta), James Landry Hébert (1883), and Anna Van Patten (Gossip Girl) to the Season 3 cast. This comes after production on the highly-anticipated next installment of the acclaimed coming-of-age series had just begun.
“I was over the moon when I heard the news that I booked it. It’s amazing to be back on set with Z. She and I formed a tight friendship while shooting K.C. Undercover and we’ve stayed close, so this is truly special,” Hardison said in a statement. “Sam, Ashley, the entire cast and crew have all been great to work with and we’re all very happy to be shooting it here in LA, especially after the travesty that thousands here just experienced. Our hearts go out to everyone affected and here’s to hoping more productions follow suit and come back to Los Angeles to shoot.”
Euphoria Season 3 will feature the return of Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules,Jacob Elordi as Nate, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Dominic Fike as Elliot, Eric Dane as Cal, Colman Domingo as Ali, Martha Kelly as Laurie, and Chloe Cherry as Faye, with Fike reportedly set to film a couple of his scenes next week. In addition, it has also been confirmed that Nika King, Storm Reid, Algee Smith, and Austin Abrams won’t be reprising their roles in the new installment.
Season 3 was initially meant to start filming this year since the network was previously targeting a 2025 return date for the show. Since the next installment was delayed due to last year’s strikes, it has endured multiple setbacks behind the scenes. A previous report also suggested that the delay may have been caused by the creative team and the network’s clashing visions for Season 3.
