The creator of , ConcernedApe, has announced a series of interesting new features that will be coming to the game in the 1.6 update. Although no date has been announced for the upcoming update by 's sole creator, Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, a sneak peek at features is particularly exciting for fans of the enormously popular farm simulation role-playing game.
Originally released in 2016, has quickly become one of the most popular and best-selling indie games of all time — over 20 million by the end of 2022. Beyond its commercial success, has been lauded, by some, as one of the greatest video games of all time, and has certainly usurped classic staples of the life sim genre like. Although created by a one-man team, is fairly regularly updated with new and exciting things to do and see — the upcoming 1.6 update is set to be no different.

Throughout the winter and fall seasons, Villagers in brave the cold in the same apparel they wore during the summer; however, the 1.6 update is set to rectify this odd behavior. As part of his sneak peek post on Twitter, ConcernedApe has announced that villagers will have winter outfits to stay warm and batter the ice and snow. Although this will likely only be a cosmetic change, it will heighten the immersion of the game.
