There has never really been a point in the last 60 years when Barbie dolls weren't a big deal, but the iconic toy line has become potentially more popular than ever before in 2023 thanks to the success of its Margot Robbie-led movie. A number of dolls based on looks and characters from the box office busting film have been released since, but now Mattel is doing something a little different. It has turned three characters from Ted Lasso into Barbie dolls.
Revealed earlier this week, all three Ted Lasso dolls are already available to buy, and one of them is based on the character after which the show is named. I guess that makes him more of a Ken than a Barbie, although Ted's outlook on life feels closer to Barbie's than it does Ken's. The two other Ted Lasso characters to get their very own Mattel dolls are far more Barbie-leaning - Rebecca Welton, the chairperson of AFC Richmond, and her best friend and former assistant, Keely Jones.

Each of the dolls comes with a few of their own accessories - a football for Ted, naturally - and they're dressed in attire that is instantly recognizable from the show. Helpful as there's really only so much you can do with a Barbie doll to make it look like the character on which the design has been based. While each of the dolls looks like who they are supposed to be, the clothes they're wearing certainly help. As does Ted's mustache.
A number of characters from Ted Lasso have been turned into official Barbie dolls. This Ted Lasso doll has the main character in his AFC Richmond tracksuit and with a football under his arm.
As noted, all three dolls are available now through the links above and below, and all three cost $50
