Today, South Korean developer MINTROCKET (a division of NEXON Korea responsible for the critically acclaimed single player adventure RPG DAVE THE DIVER) unveiled NAKWON: LAST PARADISE, a zombie stealth extraction game set in Seoul. The game world features PvPvE elements, so players will have to be mindful of both real players and AI-powered zombies.
MINTROCKET's Game Director Jang Kyoung Han stated:
As we continue to improve NAKWON’s multiplayer experience, we hope community collaboration will be a core part of our development process. We’re still very early on in playable development— this playtest is by no means representative of our planned final product— but we’re excited to share our journey with players and hear their initial feedback. This is a great opportunity for passionate players to get involved at an early stage and help us shape the project. We intend to implement player feedback from the pre-alpha this year and follow up with a more robust public test sometime next year, with the goal of building a fun and original survival experience for players.
According to the official description, players will be able to obtain higher privileges and access based on their Citizen Grade. You'll have to make money to pay rent, in addition to getting better equipment.
MINTROCKET has shared over 20 minutes of gameplay. They have also announced an open Closed Alpha playtest that will take place via Steam between November 29 at 5 PM Pacific Time and December 3 at midnight Pacific Time. The official NAKWON: LAST PARADISE page already includes the game's system requirements.
