New Tailoring Recipes Now Live On NA Realms - Season of Discovery

The two new Tailoring recipes showcased in yesterday's hotfix notes are now live on NA Season of Discovery realms! Players can buy Pattern: Invoker's Cord and Pattern: Invoker's Mantle from Elynna in Darnassus and from Borya in Orgrimmar.

While both recipes may look like very strong end-game gearing options as they are, our Mage writer Foolipe chimed in to add more context how these newly introduced recipes will affect cloth wearers in Season of Discovery:
By introducing the new Invoker's Mantle shoulders, Blizzard is fixing a hole in Alliance gearing. In the cloth shoulder slot, Horde has the opportunity to get Frayed Chestnut Mantle from the Allegiance to the Old Gods quest, while Alliance players had to use gearing options with much lower power levels.
The Invoker's Cord will help both factions by adding a proper spell power option where before, most casters opted to use the Belt of Arugal because it has more Intellect than Ghamoo-ra's Cinch, which was mostly used as a PVP off-spec alternative. Read more on wowhead.com

There's nothing like a bit of heart-warming, cheery news to start a new year but the PC shipment estimates for 2023, from market analysts IDC and Gartner, are anything but cheery. The total number of units shipped varies between the two groups, with IDC estimating just under 260 million, whereas Gartner puts it at around 242 million. That's 14% down from last year and, while the market is settling down from the Covid era of tech sales, the figures pale in comparison to those seen ten years ago.
