After multiple delays, Ark: Survival Ascended is finally launching on Xbox Series X/S today at 9 AM PST (barring any last-minute change). However, even if you download it quickly, the new official servers won’t be live until several hours later to afford everyone time and an even playing field when starting.
Bonus rates will be active for a period, allowing console players to catch up to PC players. Unfortunately, the PS5 version isn’t launching by the end of November. Citing “some issues which will require additional time,” Studio Wildcard is now anticipating an early December launch. It’s also working to ensure the “best possible cross-platform experience” and will provide updates on the PS5 version closer to launch.
Ark: Survival Ascended is available now for PC in Steam Early Access. It’s a remastered version of Ark: Survival Evolved, running on Unreal Engine 5.2 with various quality-of-life features and improvements – check out our review here. Only The Island is available to play on, with Survival of the Fittest coming “soon” and Scorched Earth slated for next month.
