Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has revealed an updated emergency ban of a particular card for the game's ongoing Xyz Festival, with the card causing major problems for players. Since the debut of the digital TCG early last year, Konami has featured a variety of events focused on different deckbuilding restrictions. Events like the Xyz Festival and Synchro Festival have tasked players with building decks revolving around certain Summoning mechanics, while others like N/R Rarity Festival and Legend Anthology have placed unique limitations. Now, the return of the Xyz Festival will see one particular card emergency banned.
The recent return of the Xyz Festival to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel marks the second time Konami has featured an event around the Extra Deck mechanic. The Xyz Festival served as the first unique event added to Master Duel with players only able to include Xyz Monsters in their Extra Decks. Archetypes like «Zoodiac» and «Numeron» thrived in the event's last run with the decks becoming some of the most powerful options for players to use.
