Orc players in World of Warcraft can finally join one of six major clans as a part of the new Heritage questline. Once they have, they unlock the ability to customize a unique cosmetic item for all future Orc characters they make in World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft recently rolled out Patch 10.0.7, which added tons of new quests, cosmetics, and content to the game. One of the best additions in the update was a Heritage questline for Orcs. In order to start this quest, players must hit level 50 on an Orc character and be Exalted with the Orgrimmar faction.
World of Warcraft Player Uncovers Secret Vault Room
During the Orc Heritage quest, players revive the ancient Kosh’harg festival for the first time since before the formation of the Horde in Warcraft history. Players prepare for the festival by completing the om’gora and receiving a blessing from the clans. Dozens of Orc characters from Warcraft lore appear in the questline, during which players join one of six major clans: Blackrock, Bleeding Hollow, Dragonmaw, Frostwolf, Shattered Hand, or Warsong. After completing the quest, players are awarded Orc Heritage armor and a special toy that displays the banner of one’s chosen clan on their back when used.
Once a player has completed this quest once, all their other Orc characters in World of Warcraft can use the armor and banner toy. The banner displays a default Horde symbol until players speak with Envoy Korg at Razor Hill in Durotar, who allows them to select a clan to join. This same NPC also allows Orc characters to swap clans if they want to use a different banner.
