Hello Games released another major update, titled Interceptor, for No Man's Sky and fans are excited to experience everything it has to offer. Sean Murray had earlier teased the same with a smiley on his Twitter. Update 4.2 introduces corrupted planets for players to explore while waging war against new robotic guardians.
Sentinel Interceptor starships are now available for No Man's Sky players to pick up. These procedurally-generated ships will be a great addition to any Interloper's fleet. They will also be able to encounter corrupted planets that contain strange crystals.
According to the official announcement, the robot guardians have gotten twisted into bizarre new forms. Sentinel machines are corrupted and can now appear as semi-arachnid machines, with flamethrowers and explosives to threaten Travellers. No Man's Sky players can also get their hands on Aeron Turbojet, a new Sentinel jetpack.
Players will be able to encounter "new buildings, crashed interceptors, secret equipment and more" with the new No Man's Sky update. Patch 4.2 also brings new procedurally-generated variations for Sentinel fleets and System authority ships.
No Man's Sky players will be able to mine the unique corrupted radiant shards to acquire anomalous crystals that can be used to fuel their Sentinel technology. They will also be able to find Sentinel Multi-Tools during their exploration of the game world.
There are plenty of new things to uncover in the latest patch update, including bug fixes. Without further ado, here are the official patch notes for update 4.2 on No Man's Sky.
