Gfk’s UK software sales charts aren’t out yet, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is already doing well. GamesIndustry head Christopher Dring reported that despite physical sales being 35 percent lower than Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it’s the second biggest launch in the UK this year. Hogwarts Legacy is still in first, but Jedi: Survivor is ahead of Resident Evil 4 Remake.
It’s also the eighth biggest physical Star Wars game launch in the region. With digital contributing more to sales, it should be interesting to see how Star Wars Jedi: Survivor looks compared to the original. Also worth noting is Dead Island 2 – Dring says that second-week sales dropped only by 45 percent.
That’s not bad considering it’s a fairly linear game, that too with a 20-hour or so playtime (factoring in some side content, of course). Deep Silver confirmed that the action RPG sold one million units worldwide within three days of launch.
Stay tuned for this week’s UK physical sales charts soon. In the meantime, check out our review for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor UK physical sales are 35% lower than what Fallen Order managed… of course, digital has accelerated since then. It’s still the second biggest game launch of the year (behind Hogwarts, but ahead of Resi 4), and the 8th biggest physical Star Wars launch

I’m impressed to see that Dead Island 2 physical sales only dropped 45% in its second week. That’s pretty good for a AAA console game
