Blaidd is one of many characters to play an important role in , especially if one chooses to serve Ranni and follow her questline. However, after Ranni’s questline is complete, Blaidd seems to disappear. In reality, however, the half-wolf man can still be found in the Lands Between. Seeking him out at this point then leads to a final encounter with Ranni’s loyal guardian and the ultimate conclusion of his story.
The Tarnished spends a great deal of time with Blaidd as they work towards unlocking’s Age of Stars ending, and it is easy to come to like the warrior as a result. His own questline, which quickly joins with Ranni’s, sees him searching for Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. If spoken to before finding said Boss in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol, Blaidd can be summoned to fight alongside the Tarnished. Later on, Blaidd can also provide valuable support in the fight against Starscourge Radahn before other forces work to cast a dark shadow over him, leading to his disappearance.
Blaidd arguably disappears twice during the course of, once towards the climax of Ranni’s quest and then again after the end of the questline. In the first instance, the wolf-man is captured by Iji and imprisoned (somewhat ironically) in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. Iji explains that Blaidd will go mad if Ranni goes against the will of the Two Fingers, as they created him to be both her faithful shadow and an unwitting safeguard in case of her rebellion. And indeed, if her questline is pursued, this tragically comes to pass at the base of Ranni’s Rise.
After the Tarnished helps Ranni succeed in her mission, Blaidd is clearly badly affected by the curse placed on him by the Two Fingers. If the Tarnished approaches Ranni’s Rise at this point, Blaidd can be found rambling to himself, audibly shaken and constantly rejecting the notion of betraying Ranni. At the same time, however, he attacks the Tarnished when they approach him, despite the two being allies in service to Ranni. This leads to a battle
