An Animal Crossing fan drew their beloved dog plushie as one of the series' animal villagers. Many artists have come up with all sorts of original character designs for Nintendo's popular series of social simulation games.
Almost all of the NPCs that people will meet in Animal Crossing games are anthropomorphic animals called villagers. These characters, who come in a variety of species and differ in personality, can do most of the things that a player character can, such as fishing and finding collectibles. An Animal Crossing fan has turned one of their stuffed toys into a villager, complete with their own unique traits.
In a post on the Animal Crossing subreddit, user adostume revealed that they drew their dog plushie, Chrupek, as a villager. Out of the eight available personalities in the Animal Crossing series, half are exclusive to male villagers: lazy, jock, cranky, and smug. Meanwhile, female villagers get assigned with either the normal, peppy, snooty, or big sister attributes. Some have argued that implementing randomized personalities for villagers in the next Animal Crossing game could provide players with new and unexpected experiences. The lazy personality type would perfectly fit the Animal Crossing version of adostume's stuffed canine, according to its owner.
Many Animal Crossing fans have come up with original characters for the series. One artist, bromojumbo, created a family of snail-based Animal Crossing villagers. They have also come up with lobster and prawn villagers, one of whom resembled a character from the animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.
Community members complimented the illustration made by adostume, who also said that the villager version of Chrupek would probably receive the Raymond treatment should they visit the islands of players.
