After many years, fans of the series are finally figuring out why one of the most hated characters is relatable now. Villagers in have a tendency to be a polarizing topic, with some garnering an interesting reputation because of their looks and others being immediate favorites. Though it's not often that everyone agrees about whom the worst villager or NPC is, there are some that are universally disliked. However, more fans are realizing that some removed villagers were just misunderstood at the time.
One such villager was Phyllis, the crass pelicanthat ran the night shift at the Post Office and Town Hall. Reddit users, like Trick_Blueberry_3812, are saying that she should be brought back, and some comments are even realizing how much they relate to her now.

Though some people are only able to play at specific times, like overnight, it makes sense why they would want to keep the important locations open to visit. Regardless, bringing Phyllis back would help the flow of the Island seem more realistic and give Isabelle and Tom Nook a much-needed break.
