Fatshark is dropping a free new update for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 today. Titled ‘A Parting of the Waves,’ the update will set players off on an adventure that concludes the game’s Karak Azgraz storyline.
This stormy final map of the storyline is brand new, and not a remaster of one found in the original Vermintide. Something Fatshark decided to emphasize in its announcement.
Vermintide 2’s story last left off with the Ubersreik Five in disarray. Sienna, the team’s Bright Wizard, has taken to Necromancy to enlist the dead in the fight against the Skaven and Chaos, something the rest of the party has not been too keen on. There’s not a whole lot of trust between the group as of late. Fortunately, nothing brings a team together like a good fight and in this latest update the team has set sail after fleeing Skaven ships, intent on doing some damage.
There’s more than just a new map coming with this update. Fatshark is also introducing a new enemy type in a Chaos Warrior wielding a shield and mace. This new enemy will challenge players on any maps featuring Rotbloods.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox One and Series X|S consoles.
