Though this doesn't mark the first time that Destiny 2's recently introduced Onslaught activity has faced issues, Bungie has recently alerted the game's currently-thriving player base of a bug in the activity that may prevent players from progressing past the 20th wave in the mode's 50-wave variant. Though it's not yet clear how widespread the problem is, Destiny 2 players should be wary when jumping into the horde mode this week — particularly if they're hoping to complete a 50-wave run on Legend difficulty.
While it's still a relatively recent addition to Destiny 2, Onslaught has quickly earned its place as one of the best activities in the game's history in the eyes of many fans. Largely identical to the typical horde mode seen in countless other games in terms of mechanics, Destiny 2's Onslaught mode sees Guardians defending the remnants of humanity from waves upon waves of the Witness' forces. With players working closely with Lord Shaxx and his Redjacks in this new activity, players are able to get their hands on a variety of powerful new BRAVE weapons that have been forged and requisitioned at the request of the Crucible handler himself.
Though the entire arsenal of Destiny 2's BRAVE weapons has already been rolled out to Guardians by this point, players are eagerly continuing to farm for their ideal weapon rolls before the game's The Final Shape expansion drops next month. Unfortunately, Destiny 2 fans may need to put their farming on hold for a while due to a new issue with the Onslaught activity that occasionally prevents the portal from spawning upon completion of wave 20. This issue was brought to the attention of the Destiny 2 community recently by a tweet from BungieHelp, with the developer claiming to be actively investigating the problem while assuring fans that more information will be shared when it's available.
