A big Warcraft III: Reforged update could be coming in the future, judging from some recent findings.
As reported on the ResetERA forums, Blizztrack, a website that tracks updates for all Blizzard games, shows that the game's internal Public Test Realm was updated yesterday to version 2.0.0 following a series of minor updates, suggesting that something big may be brewing, as every major version of any Blizzard game usually indicates a significant update. With the series' 30th anniversary being this year, it wouldn't be surprising to see a major overhaul of a game that was among the most controversial releases of the past few years.
Despite its issues, Chris still found Warcraft III: Reforged to be a valuable reconstruction of one of the most important RTS games ever released. You can learn more about the game by reading his review.
Warcraft III: Reforged isn't the game that was promised, but is still a valuable reconstruction of one of the most influential titles in the history of video games. This release is, sadly, riddled with bugs as well as marred by the terrible decisions of Blizzard, particularly that of the false advertising that persists now even after launch. However, despite this, there's little doubting that Warcraft III: Reforged has a compelling story that, even eighteen years on, remains one of the most engaging in the genre. The gameplay holds strong to this day and with the tweaks and upgrades, this is an undeniable diamond in the rough.
