Amazon started canceling pre-orders for upcoming Nintendo Switch games last month without explanation. Those games have remained unavailable on Amazon ever since, and now Walmart has followed suit. Online pre-orders for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door at the big box store have been canceled, just like they were on Amazon a month ago. Walmart has been emailing apologies to those affected to let them know the game will be available in store when it's released on May 23.

Walmart is also offering $25 each to all customers affected which can be used to get money off their next order.
Amazon canceled pre-orders for Endless Ocean: Luminous, which has since been released, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. The remastered Luigi's Mansion game is currently still available on Walmart's website, but if you have pre-ordered the game through the site, you might want to keep a close eye on your inbox in the coming days and weeks. If you planned on pre-ordering Luigi's Mansion 2 HD but you haven't yet, maybe do so through Walmart since if it gets canceled, you could get a $25 discount on your next order for your troubles.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a remake of the well-loved RPG first released on the GameCube. Relive this iconic adventure that turns 2D on its head and turns Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom into paper.
If you're now looking for somewhere else to pre-order a physical copy of The Thousand-Year Door with only a week to go until release day, despite Nintendo's want to not sell pre-orders through Walmart and Amazon, they are still available from Best Buy and GameStop through the links above.
