Last year, The Game Awards delivered several memorable moments, including the first look at The Super Mario Bros. Movie, as well as several celebrity appearances and a ton of major reveals in the world of gaming en route to attracting 103 million global viewers. This year looks to be no different, as the 10th annual The Game Awards arrives at the Peacock Theater (formerly Microsoft Theater) in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Just like in previous years, The Game Awards 2023 will stream for free across more than 30 digital video platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Steam, Twitter (also known as X), Facebook, TikTok Live, and more. This year's show will once again feature The Game Awards Orchestra, conducted by the award-winning Lorne Balfe.
«Each year, we look forward to hosting a show that honors the stand-out games of the year, while also announcing and previewing some of the world's biggest and most anticipated video games,» host and executive producer Geoff Keighley said in a press release. «With so many beloved video game franchises exploring new mediums and developers creating new experiences across platforms, whether in games, television, movies, and beyond, the industry continues to expand in many surprising ways, and we can't wait to honor the year's best games and to show viewers around the world what's next.»
If you'd like to watch The Game Awards on December 7, you can do so across one of the various streaming platforms on which it will be broadcast. If you want to be there live, public tickets will be made available for purchase later this fall.
