NetherRealm Studios has released a new for the upcoming fighting game featuring Megan Fox.
The video reveals that Megan Fox plays Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1. In the trailer, Fox discusses why she was drawn to the vampiric character and what the experience of playing Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1 was like. The actress then speaks about her experience with the franchise, as she grew up playing Mortal Kombat.
“I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and I can’t believe that I’m voicing a character in the new game,” Megan Fox stated. “It’s an honor to be a part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time.”
Nitara first appeared in 2002’s Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, which released on the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance. She debuted alongside other iconic characters like Bo’ Rai Cho, Frost, and Kenshi.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on September 19 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Despite the title, it is the twelfth mainline entry in the Mortal Kombat franchise and the second reboot after Mortal Kombat (2011). The title takes place in the new timeline made by Liu Kang following the events of Mortal Kombat 11’s story mode.
