There are two Fatalities per main roster character and one finisher for every Kameo fighter in , the secondary combatant that can help you out during a fight. Not to be confused with Brutalities, which are also locked at the start, a Fatality usually consists of three or four motion inputs followed quickly by one button. These sequences are different for every character, making them difficult to remember.
The easiest way to unlock Fatalities is to input the secret input of the second finisher for a character, progress the Character Mastery gauge, or play the game to meet multiple challenge goals. Every roster fighter in encourages you to learn more about how they play with a gauge that increases the more matches you do with them. Almost like leveling up with a character, simply using them enough times unlocks a Fatality.

Challenge goals can range from performing a certain number of kicks or doing a combo of 5 hits or more, which gives you a Fatality for a character if you meet enough of these small objectives.
