Megan Fox Lends Her Likeness to Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1 on PS5 | Push Square
pushsquare.comMortal Kombat 1’s entire character roster leaked overnight, but NetherRealm Studios has turned the attention back to its own announcement cadence. It’s confirmed that Nitara will return to the series for the first time in almost 20 years – and not only that, she’ll be played by Transformers star, Megan Fox.

The reveal trailer’s actually pretty awesome, and includes a couple of references to Fox’s famous 2009 movie Jennifer’s Body, because of course it does! This isn’t the first time the developer’s turned to Hollywood to bring some of its brawlers to life: MMA fighter turned wrestler Ronda Rousey starred as Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11, of course.
Nitara hasn’t been a playable character since Mortal Kombat: Armageddon on PS2, although she did make a brief cameo in a cut-scene of the previous game. It’s pretty cool to see the Vampire of the Underworld return to the roster, then – and as Fox has admitted to some pretty weird blood drinking rituals with her beau Machine Gun Kelly in real-life, we, er, can’t think of a better actress to play the part!
