Mortal Kombat 1 is almost upon us, yet developer NetherRealm Studios hasn't quite finished showing off its main cast of characters. We've had a drip feed of character reveals over the past couple of months, and the latest has confirmed that Mortal Kombat 1 will bring back Nitara for the first time in over 17 years. Not only that, but she now has a new voice actor too, and it's none other than Transformers and Jennifer's Body star Megan Fox.
This reveal trailer was posted to the Mortal Kombat 1 Twitter account earlier today, giving us our first look at Nitara after a full roster leak seemingly revealed that she would be the game's 24th playable fighter. The trailer gives us a look at her interacting with some of the game's other characters, which includes a cheeky Jennifer's Body reference because of course, as well as some of her toolkit and fatality.

We also got to see Megan Fox perform some lines as Nitara, which is a sentence that will never get any less weird no matter how many times it's said. Mortal Kombat is no stranger to the odd celebrity voice actor of course, with Ronda Rousey playing Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11 and a Jean Claude Van Damme skin for Johny Cage in MK1, but this is definitely the one that's the most out of left field.
In any case, it's nice to see the official confirmation that Nitara is back, as longtime Mortal Kombat fans will know that she hasn't been included as a playable fighter in a game since Mortal Kombat: Armageddon back in 2006. She did appear in Mortal Kombat 11 as a brief cameo, but now she's back properly and ready to rip out a spine or two.
