A Mortal Kombat 1 modder is adding a first-person mode to the game and it looks like you're going to have a hard time keeping your lunch down if you use it.
Depending on how strong your stomach is and how much you've been desensitized to violence in gaming, Mortal Kombat might make you feel rather sick when you play thanks to its frighteningly realistic Fatalities. Over on Twitter, ermaccer, who previously made an early story mode version of Ermac playable, shared a clip of a mod that adds a first-person mode to Mortal Kombat 1. The mod, as you'd expect, lets you see through the eyes of whatever fighter you're playing as, whether they're pulling off sick combos, finishing their opponent with a Fatality, or, in the case of Johnny Cage, filming their Kameo doing all the dirty work for them.
That's all to be expected of a first-person mod but what you might not be expecting is how sick it's going to make you feel. Alongside the brief clip on Twitter, ermaccer also shared an extended look on YouTube that shows just how difficult it'd be to compete in a Mortal Kombat tournament. No, not because you'd probably have to go up against General Shao, but because you'd have to stop yourself chundering from all the spinning. It's not quite as bad as Spider-Man Remastered's first-person mod, but it's enough to make you lose your lunch.
