Today's Wordle Answer & Hints for October 2, 2023 (Puzzle #835)
A new week brings out a new puzzle to solve, and despite the classic five-letter trick being utilized, today's answer shouldn't cause too much trouble for most players.
For those that do prefer more of a challenge though there is always the Hard Mode provided by Wordle in it's option menu. Turning this on before beginning the game will lock in hints from previous guesses. This stops players from using combo words that have nothing to do with each other. It also tends to decrease the number of guesses it takes to solve the puzzle since hints must be used.

We have provided a few hints to help out those who may be having a bit of trouble, but don't wish to be fully spoiled on today's answer just yet.

The October 2nd answer is MERRY.
For our starting word today we used IRATE which provided an 'R' and an 'E' in the wrong positions. Shuffling things around a bit we tried POLER as our second guess. This didn't lock in any letters or provide any new ones, but it did help show us a few more incorrect choices. Moving forward we tried REING as our third guess locking in the 'E' and providing even more incorrect letters.
The pressure was building as we neared our fourth try, which was BERRY. This locked in a lot of letters and let us know that a double 'R' was happening in today's answer. After that fantastic guess it was an easy move to the win-in-five with MERRY.
