With Gamescom Opening Night Live now right around the corner, its lineup of confirmed titles is continuing to fill up, and another major upcoming game has now joined that list. Taking to Twitter, Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada and Gamescom ONL producer and host Geoff Keighley recently confirmed that Tekken 8 will be shown off at Gamescom Opening Night Live tomorrow, on August 22.
Gamescom ONL is shaping up to be a packed showcase. With a runtime of about two hours, the event will focus on providing updates for a number of upcoming releases. In addition to Tekken 8, that list includes the likes of Mortal Kombat 1, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Black Myth: Wukong, Lords of the Fallen, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Sonic Superstars, among others.
Tekken 8 is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime before April 2024. A specific release date hasn’t yet been announced, though hopefully that’ll change at tomorrow’s showcase.
