When is Gamescom Opening Night Live? The end of the summer means it's time for Gamescom, Europe's largest video game exhibition. Held as always in Cologne, Germany, the enormous convention gets started each year with a kick-off showcase named Opening Night Live, put together and hosted by the one and only Geoff Keighley. What are the dates and times for Gamescom Opening Night Live? The show is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023. Below is the time it'll get started in each region:
Note: In Asia/Oceania, Gamescom Opening Night Live will technically begin in the early hours of Thursday 23rd August.
Gamescom Opening Night Live is an in-person event, but if you're not heading to Cologne to be there yourself, there are easy ways to tune in. The showcase will be streamed via YouTube and Twitch, as well as other social media platforms. We will be hosting the video feed right here on Push Square, complete with a live chat, so please join us to watch along with the community.
If you can't watch the event live, don't worry. We'll be covering all the PlayStation-relevant news from the show as soon as possible, so you can stay bang up to date after the fact.
There is currently no official word on the duration of this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live. However, we can make an educated guess. Going by the last few shows, we expect 2023's broadcast will be about two to two-and-a-half hours long. We'll update this page if we learn any different.
