Cyberpunk 2077's Huge Update Will be Detailed in a Gameplay Livestream Next Week | Push Square
With the hype building for next month's Phantom Liberty expansion, it's easy to forget that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a huge, game-changing update alongside the DLC. Officially teased what feels like a lifetime ago, the title's next major patch is set to make significant adjustments to how the gritty RPG plays. There's been talk of a new police system, a melee combat overhaul, the addition of open world activities, a complete restructure of the skill trees, and more.

Fortunately, we won't have to wait long to see some of this stuff in action. Developer CD Projekt Red has announced that it'll be hosting a livestream next week, on the 24th August. During the show, the team will «discuss several features that come with the next major update and Phantom Liberty expansion». It'll also include new gameplay footage. Certainly something to look forward to if you're itching to return to Night City.
Of course, this stream will be broadcast after Gamescom Opening Night Live, which takes place a couple of days earlier, on the 22nd August. It's already been confirmed that Phantom Liberty will get a gameplay trailer during Geoff Keighley's event.
