With the recent buffs to Plunder gain in Plunderstorm, here are the new best ways to get Plunderstorm Renown — end game kills and being the last squad standing!
With yesterday's changes to increase Renown gains in Plunderstorm, the previous method of farming is no longer the best. It still works just as well as before, but it's no longer the fastest as you can now end games with almost 2 full Renown levels.
Even more than before, playing Duos with a friend can provide over double the Plunder. Any Plunder that your partner picks up, you get as well — it's two for the price of one! In addition, enemies consist of two players and every team you eliminate, you get double the Plunder shower. 30 Squads in duos means less groups on the map which means more Plunder for you and your duo. Duos is double the Plunder for the same amount of time!
Lastly, the Duos game mode is a lot more aggressive then Solos, leading to more kills and faster games even if you get eliminated. In Solos, you really never want to take a fair fight and escaping with your life is the most important thing — you can't loot Plunder when you're dead. In Duos, the combos that you can pull off with a partner can easily kill players before they leave a Crowd Control ability. More kills means more Plunder!
The majority of Plunder now comes from End-Game kills. Defeated players drop a portion of their collected Plunder after the hotfix which can be over 300+ Plunder in the End Game.
Early game kills still don't provide much Plunder, so early game fights with other players should be avoided as much as possible. Drop in a safe location and farm up until at least level 7, but ideally should you get as high as you can. Once you believe that you have a level advantage over most enemies or you hit level 10, you're looking to hunt down as many other players as you can and loot their sweet sweet Plunder from their
