Formerly known as Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean, but now renamed Cat Quest 3, the third game in developer The Gentlebros' charming series is sailing to PS5 and PS4 on the 8th August. The title also has a new trailer that's stuffed with fresh gameplay footage — and if, like us, you're a fan of the first two games, then you'll likely think it looks fangtastic.
The sequel is clearly more ambitious in what it's trying to achieve, throwing ship combat into the mix along with what seem to be side-scrolling elements. And yes, you can once again play through the whole adventure in local co-op.

These are fun games. Got the plat for the first two and will likely make it the set when this releases (or perhaps a year or so afterwards).

Does that include player 2 getting their own pirate sailing ship, or is it something stupid like Nintendo would do where 1 person steers and the other person presses a button to shoot the cannon?
Haven’t played 1 of these before but it seems like a good series to play with my wife, going to check reviews and sales for the other games.
