Rockstar Games has announced it's joining EA in raising the price of its GTA+ subscription service, from £4.99 / $5.99 per month to £6.99 / $7.99. Representing a 40 per cent increase in the UK, new users will immediately be charged the new price while existing members will begin paying extra from 11th June 2024. Since GTA+ only offers users monthly memberships, there's no way to save a bit of money with a 12-month commitment to the service.
The price hike is presumably designed to take advantage of increased interest in the service, as Rockstar has expanded its offerings to accommodate more than just GTA Online bonuses. Subscribing to the service grants you access to the PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption and the remastered GTA Trilogy on PS5, PS4. Later this year, L.A. Noire and Bully will be bundled into the membership too.
On top of new games for GTA+, the service is currently running an offer that gives subscribers an extra $1,000,000 GTA bucks every month until August. Then, active members will get a new bonus supercar once a big GTA Online update is released this summer. Once GTA 6 drops, the company will almost certainly find further incentives for you to subscribe to the service.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
