Fallout 4 was the UK's best-selling game last month, as the popularity of the TV adaptation from Amazon Prime keeps on fuelling sales. Combined with deep discounts across the entire series, Christopher Dring of GamesIndustry.biz said the Bethesda RPG earned top spot «comfortably», with the second-placed EA Sports FC 24 presumably not even close to matching its sales.
The data provided by GSD combines physical and digital purchases, which will have lent Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 76 a helping hand as they also appear in the overall top 10 for April 2024. The beloved Obsidian spin-off was the eighth best-selling game of the month in the UK, while Fallout 76 sold slightly less in ninth.
The rest of the top 10 for the region is made up of Helldivers 2, GTA 5, Hogwarts Legacy, Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and WWE 2K24. As for PS5 release Stellar Blade, it debuted in 12th place, but the title only released on 26th April 2024, so it had just five days of data to account for.
The new TV show from Amazon Prime — which is now preparing a second season — has sent sales of the games on all platforms skyrocketing, with purchases up 7,500 per cent across the whole of Europe. The likes of the PS Store had Fallout 4 on a heavy discount in the lead-up to its new PS5 version (it cost £3.99 in the UK), which allowed the titles to enter bargain bin territory.
Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Fallout 4 cost €5.00 on PSN where I am last month.

I already had a physical PS4 copy, but I bought it again at that price for the convenience.
I hadn't played it since I quit half way through the Nuka Cola expansion back in the day, but that game is addictive when you get into it.
Hogwarts Legacy still killing it.
