Diablo 4 Patch 1.4.2 was quietly released over the weekend, and players were pleasantly surprised to find that their hard-earned Resplendent Spark had been restored on their Season 3 characters!
Developer’s Note: Players that lost Resplendent Sparks will have them restored when logging into an Eternal Character.
When Characters from Season 3 were migrated to the Eternal Realm, all of the Resplendent Sparks that they had earned were not migrated along with them. Now that Patch 1.4.2 is live, players will need to login to one of their Eternal Realm Characters in order to reclaim their Resplendent Spark. Once claimed, players will be able to use this material to craft Uber Unique items.
For those who normally only play on Seasonal Characters, this may give an incentive to brush the dust off your Character from a previous Season and test out some new ideas! Almost all Classes have had fairly substantial changes compared to earlier Seasons, and new items have been introduced that could synergize with some of your previous strategies. With the advent of Tempering and Masterworking, there's a huge potential to resurrect and refine older builds that were previously either missing something or fell short on performance. The Eternal Realm isn't merely where Seasonal Characters go to retire — it's an Eternal playground for theorycrafting!
