Over on Nexus Mods, creator Hippo0o shared their excellent «Trials of Tav» mod which overhauls by adding in a standalone roguelike game mode. Accessible through the menu, the system will balance itself according to the party's level as players can explore and battle their way across 38 maps and 250+ enemies. Each round will reward new loot and abilities that can be unlocked for future runs, meaning players are incentivized to play as much as possible to increase their pool of resources and ensure they always have something viable for the next challenging encounter.
