Ubisoft’s fast-paced free-to-play arena shooter launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on May 21. Fans can preload it now to be ready for when it goes live, though PC users will want to check out the recently revealed system requirements.
“XDefiant’s preseason kicks off on May 21,” says Ubisoft, “and given how fast its multiplayer firefights can move, optimizing your hardware build can be just as important as your gameplay build.” The game’s Minimum, Recommended, and Ultra requirements are below:

Ubisoft also provided a list of additional features, such as that XDefiant supports both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12. It also supports both widescreen and the Nivida Reflex Latency Analyzer. The publisher additionally notes that while SSDs may not be strictly necessary, they are recommended for the best experience.
The crossover shooter features multiple factions from across the Ubisoft catalog, each with unique abilities. From the Tom Clancy universe comes Ghost Recon’s rogue special ops group, the Phantoms, Splinter Cell’s covert Echelon agents, and The Division’s pyromaniac Cleaners. Meanwhile, from Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs come the revolutionaries of Libertad and the vigilante hackers of DedSec. Members of all five factions appear in XDefiant’s launch trailer, which fans can check out now.
